Privacy Policy
Sudoku Zen is an offline puzzle game. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information.
Information We Collect
None. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no network access. It does not request the Internet permission, so no data can leave your device. We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking SDKs, or crash-reporting services.
Data Stored on Your Device
To make the game work, the app saves the following locally only, in its private storage:
- Game progress — the puzzle in play, your entries, notes, timer, mistake count, and hints used, so you can continue later.
- Statistics — completed games per difficulty: time, mistakes, score, win/loss, and completion date.
- Daily Challenge results — the dates you completed and their times and scores, used for the calendar and streak.
- Settings — theme, sound, vibration, mistake limit, auto-check, duplicate highlighting, timer display, and auto note removal.
This data never leaves your device and is not readable by other apps. Deleting the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, permanently removes all of it.
Permissions
The app requests a single permission: Vibrate, used only for haptic feedback during play. It can be turned off in Settings. No camera, microphone, location, contacts, or file access is requested.
Backups
Android’s built-in Auto Backup is enabled for this app. If you have device backup turned on in your Android settings, your saved game, statistics, and settings may be included in your own encrypted Google account backup. That backup is handled entirely by Google and Android, not by us, and is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. You can disable it in your device’s backup settings.
Children’s Privacy
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Third Parties
The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or social SDKs, and shares no data with anyone. If you install the app from Google Play, Google may collect installation and usage data under its own policy, independently of the app.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
